从句有should且可省，那么
ask require demand request desire这五个词要用过去时吗？
例如：
He 【asked】 that they (should) be allowed to use a dictionary.
实际上，名词从句中的虚拟只有一条规则，即名词从句虚拟句无论主句的谓语动词是何种形式，从句的谓语形式均为“should + 动词原形”，并且should可以省去（注意不可用would）。
因此这个例子的主句并不一定用过去时，因为时态体现在主句中。
例子：
I suggest that we （should）go tomorrow. （我建议我们明天走）
I suggested that we (should) go the next day. （我当时建议我们第二天走）
换句话说，主句用现在时还是过去时，要看句子所处的语境。
ask、advise、beg、command、demand、decide、deserve、desire、determine、insist、order、prefer、propose、require、recommand、request、suggest、urge等。
以下例句均省略should，这个考点经常出现在“用所给词的正确形式填空”、“完形填空”中：
The instructions ask that we not take more than three tablets once.
说明书要求每次服用的量不超过三粒。
His father urged that he study medicine. （因为省略了should，故从句动词不能用studies）
他父亲要求他学医。
