连接词是用作连接两句有相关的句子用的
它把两句连接起来令听的人充份明白句子的意思
而 that 就是其中一个连接词了。如下举例： I am told.是一句话
但没多大意思.You are unhappy.又是一句话
但句子末能充份表达说话者的意思
但若用一个连接词(conjunction) that 把两句连起来
I am told that you are unhappy. 整句的具体意思就很清楚了。(这句亦可写作You are unhappy; I am told that.切勿说人写错.)。 1)用that 做连接词(conjunction)可用以代替because

in that 来表达一个原因或理由
如 He was annoyed that he was contradicted.(他被反驳所以生气.)。 2)用that做连接词亦可代替in order that 来表达一个目的
