1.我认为两个都不对，应该填having heard . having heard that their son got sick at school 做的是时间状语，先听到儿子生病的动作发生在他们急忙赶到学校把儿子带到医院这个动作之前，既然hurry用的时过去式，那么hear 应该用过去完成时，因为前后句子主语一致，所以前半句换成动名词形式 变为having heard.
2.from which.这是一个非限制性定语从句，换成正常句子是这样，they hoped to find the direction of hurricane from the report they were studying.从这个句中可以看出用from .
3which what 多用于引导表语从句，而这个句子中缺少的不是表语，which your uncle bought for you?是定语从句，作定语来修饰先行词cdplayer.在定语从句中what 不能作为关系代词。

那么横线上应该就要填which了，有没有一点感觉。如果单说是CDplayer的的话，相应的可能是什么东西，但如果是the CDplayer的话，就表示特指啊，相应的就应该是哪一个，哪一种等等~~

1.用hearing，由后面的they并由逻辑他们听而不是被听，因此用hearing，而不是heard。
2.应该是from which，by表示的是通过一种方式，而from表示的是一种方向的趋势，此处应该是表示从研究中找到台风的方向，而不是表示通过研究这个持续的动作。
3which。what是主句从句都缺成分，此处是buy sb. sth.双宾语中缺直宾作前面CDplayer的定语，只缺一个成分，故不能用what。
