JWTFH: Long long ago, the sea was too big for China. To make more land, the Emperor ordered the birds to fill the sea with earth. Every bird obeyed, except the little bird Jīngwèi. She only carried small twigs.
People laughed at her, saying such little twigs could not fill the sea. But Jīngwèi kept coming back with more twigs, despite her small size and weary wings.
Days, months and even years passed, and still Jīngwèi persisted. Finally, with a heavy heart, she collapsed and passed away. But even then, she held a twig in her mouth.
Moved by her determination, the Emperor put Jīngwèi on the map as an island. This story teaches us that even small efforts can make a big difference. We should never give up on our goals, no matter how small our contributions may seem.
