如:go through the forest“穿过森林”,go across the street “穿过大街”

------
The river runs through our city.
He passed through the hall.
I swam across the Changjiang River 20 years ago.
Look left and right before you go across the street.

go through 从某物中间穿过(即头顶有覆盖物);从一长形物体中穿过;
go across=cross 从某物表面跨过

Can a plane fly across the Atlantic Ocean ?

Yes,but it needs to go through the clouds for hours .
He went through the forest at last .
The river runs through our city.

4.Go straight and then go across the bridge .
5.Look left and right before you go across the street.

across 和 through:

The lake was frozen, so we walked across the ice.

It took us 2 hours to walk through the forest/tunnel.

I ran across the square to the cafe.

I pushed through the crowds to the bar.

She swam across the English Channel/the river.

I wandered through the town/village.

On our way we had to go through Hudson street.
