1. 这两个句型的主语如果是物的话，则其用法一样，都是询问对方对某事物的看法。
如：What's the weather like today? = How is the weather today?
今天天气如何/怎样？

2. 但是如果这两个句型的主语是物的时候，则其用法不同。
1）How be sb？的意思是“某人好吗？”，即表示对句子主语的问候。
如：How are you? 你好吗？
How is your father? 你爸爸还好吗？
2）而What sb be like？的意思还是“某人怎么样”，即征询对方对句子主语的看法。
回答时，必须不仅限制于回答其的外貌/长相，最好还应该涉及其的内在品德等。
如：--What is his father like? （你觉得）他爸爸怎么样/他爸爸是个什么样的人？
