thank这个词可以说是属于英语入门的第一批单词了，它可以用来告诉表达你很开心，也很感谢对方给了你某个东西，或是为你做了某件事情。
thank后面可以直接加sb.，表示“感谢某人”，或是thank sb. for sth.，表示“关于某事感谢某人”。要注意的是，如果后面要接sth.，介词for是不能省略的哦。

2. appreciate
appreciate也很常被用来表示“感激”，它和thank的区别在于：前者是强调行为者内心的“感激之情”，而后者则是强调“感谢对方”的这个动作。
appreciate后面可以直接加sth.表示“感激某事或某物”，但是不可以直接加sb.；appreciate后面还可以接that从句。
I would appreciate it if...这个表达很常见，it在这里做形式主语，真正的主语是后面的if从句。
