others后面的
be动词是复数形式。比如：others are... others were.
others 是复数代词，泛指其他的人或物
others 和some对比使用时,是“有些”的意思而不是做“其他”讲,如:Some cleaned the windows,others mopped the floor.有的擦窗户,有的擦地板.
the others的用法
others泛指别的人或物；
(all) the others指一定范围内的其余的人或物。
another泛指三个或三个以上的人或物中的一个；
the other指已知的两个人或物的另一个。

1)泛指另一个用another。
2)一定范围内两人(物)，一个用one，另一个用the other。
3)一定范围内三者，一个用one，另一个用one (another)，第三个可用the other，a third。
4)一定范围内，除去一部分人/物，剩余的全部用the others。
5)泛指别的人或物时，用others当在一定范围内，除去一部分后，剩余部分但不是全部时，也用others。
(1)other意思是“其他的”，作形容词时，指尚未列举或提到的部分，其复数形式others，一般作代词用。如：
Here are other books(=others)on this subject.

(2)another指不定数目中的另一个，作代词用时，后面不需要接任可词。如：
I don't like this hat,please show me another.

I'll take this one,you may take the other.我要这个，你可以拿那个。

不定代词连用，它们的用法一样的。another后跟数词或不定代词，而other前用数词或不定代词。
