这四个单词都是过去式形式，下面是原形形式和他们的具体用法
1.spend的过去式是spent, 经常译为花费，主语要是人，有两种经常考的短语搭配，就是
somebody spend 时间/钱 (in) doing sth. in经常省略 后面是动词的话，一定是动词的ing形式
somebody spend 时间/钱 on sth 后面是名词的话，要用介词on搭配

2.pay的过去式是paid 是花费，支付的意思。经常用的短语是pay for 句子的主语是人
somebody pay 钱 for sth. 某人为买某东西花费...多少钱或者为买某东西支付....多少钱
Lucy paid 100 yuan for the skirt. Lucy买这条裙子花了100元钱。

3.take的过去时是took.也有花费的意思。 主语要用it.
It takes/took/will take somebody 时间 to do sth. 这个句子中的it是形式主语，指的是后面的to do sth这块内容的，就是说做某件事情花费/花费了/将要花费某人多长时间。注意时态不同一般现在时it takes 一般过去时用it took...
比如：It took us 2 hours to work out the difficult math problem.
做出这道很难的数学题花了我们两个小时时间。

4.cost的过去式和过去分词都是cost. 是花费的意思，主语要是物
sth.cost somebody 钱数 某物花费某人..多少钱
比如：The necklace cost him 2000 yuan .(这个句子是一般过去时。)
