其实，所列题目考的就是非谓语动词的区别：
A Giving表示主动进行；B To give一般表示目的 C.表示被动完成 D. Being given是现在分词被动式，一般是进行被动的。

是的，你是对的。根据句意可以判断，前一句的时态应该是过去式，而且是从句，所以用could/should had done，很显然这里省略了，所以用had given
