1.don't和not在原文的意思上没有区别，在意思上don't=not，都是表达“不做”的意思，但是在具体使用方法上，是存在一定差异的。
2.don't是助动词，意思是后面要接动词。not是否定词，可单独使用，也可接a/an加名词。具体来说，如果原句中存在动词be的形式，那么助动词have,will,shall或情态动词can,may,must,need,had better等，只能使用not形式，例如：You should not jump at conclusion. 不该轻率地乱下结论。
