no sooner than 和hardly when以及as soon as的区别

no sooner than,翻译为“一…

as soon as,翻译为“一…

as soon as 较长,no sooner...than 居中,hardly...when 间隔时间最短。

1、as soon as意思相当于 A事情发生以后,就做B这件事情。

例如:I'll write  you as soon as I get there.

As soon as I went in,Katherine cried out with pleasure.

2、no sooner...than

He had no sooner returned than he bought a house.

He had hardly finished the article when the light went out.

As soon as和hardly...when...

No sooner had he arrived than he went away again.

no sooner than 和hardly when以及as soon as的区别:

1.从两件事间隔的时间看,as soon as 最长,"A事发生后,就做B事";no sooner...than 次之,"刚做完A事,就做B事";hardly...when最短,"几乎未来得及做完A事,紧接着就做B事"。

I’ll write you as soon as I get there.

As soon as I went in, Katherine cried out with pleasure.
I’ll return the book as soon as I have read it.
①no sooner…than意思相当于“刚做完A这件事,就做B这件事”。例如:
He had no sooner returned than he bought a house.
②当no sooner…than的no sooner位于句首时及hardly…when…
No sooner had the game started than it began to rain heavily.
Hardly had I finished eating when he came in.
Hardly had she gone out when a student came to visit her.
③hardly…when... He had hardly had time to settle down when he sold the house.

3.as soon as可用于各种时态;而在no sooner...than...和hardly…when…
Hardly had I finished eating when he came in.
No sooner had the game started than it began to rain heavily.

no sooner than和hardly when用法基本无区别,但它和as soon as用法有区别。

一、as soon as的用法。

As soon as you mentioned rain, it started pouring.

I’ll call you as soon as I arrive home.

We’ll start the meeting as soon as the chairman comes.

He left as soon as he heard the news.

二、hardly when与no sooner than的用法。

hardly when和no sooner than都表示“一……

No sooner had you mentioned rain than it started pouring.

Hardly had he heard the news when he left.
