In 1948, Hepburn appeared in a Dutch documentary “The Seven Lessons of the Netherlands” which was only 39 minutes long and began his film career.
In 1953, she appeared for the first time in the film "Roman Holidays" and won the Academy Award for Best Actress. In the same year, she won the Tony Award for best actress for her performance in the melodrama.
In 1961, she starred in the movie "Tiffany's Breakfast." In 1964, she starred in the musical "My Fair Lady." In 1989, Audrey, who had spent many years in guest appearances, starred in the final film "Forever."
In his later years, Audrey Hepburn was involved in philanthropy and was a representative of the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for the rights of women and children in the Third World. He was awarded the "Presidential Medal of Liberty" in 1992 and the Oscar Humanitarian Award in 1993 [1]. On January 20, 1993, Audrey Hepburn died of cancer in Switzerland at the age of 63.
Hepburn received five Academy Award nominations for his best actress in his lifetime. In 1999, she was ranked third by the American Film Institute as "the greatest actress in a century." In May 2002, UNICEF unveiled a 7-foot-tall bronze statue at its
New York headquarters. The name of the statue is The Spirit of Audrey in recognition of Hepburn’s contribution to the United Nations.
