英语语法中定语从句的问题

1.Is the man who wants to see you?这个结构缺成分！如果把它变成一个陈述句：就成了：The man is who wants to see you.who引导的定语从句缺先行词，原句应该加上“this”或者“he”即应是：Is （this/he ）the man who wants to see you?
在这句话中，关系代词who在定语从句中充当主语，因为wants在句中是谓语动词，在它前面的当然是主语。

2.He is the man whom I saw yesterday。
先行词：the man，关系代词：whom。你把whom放到定语从句中去，你会得到这样一个句子：I saw the man(whom) yesterday。你看，whom是不是做saw的宾语。在英语中任何一个引导从句的连词/关系代词/关系副词必须放在从句的句首，因此它离开了宾语的位置。

3.Is there anyone here whose name is John Smith?
先行词：anyone，关系代词：whose ，在英语中放在名词之前修饰名词的都叫作定语，你看whose是不是修饰后面的名词name的？因此，关系代词whose在从句中做定语。

4.All that is needed is a supply of oil.
先行词：all，关系代词：that，定语从句中is needed是被动形式的谓语动词，它的前面就是主语。因此关系代词that在从句中做主语。

关系代词如果在定语从句中充当从句的宾语，关系代词可以省略，象第二句中的whom就可以省略。在任和其它情况下都不能省略。

先行词：the man，关系代词：whom。关系代词在从句中做saw的宾语。故可省略。

3.Is there anyone here whose name is John Smith?这也是个完整的定语从句的句子。
先行词：anyone，关系代词：whose ，关系代词在从句中做定语，不能省。

4.All that is needed is a supply of oil.这同样是个完整的定语从句的句子。
先行词：all，关系代词：that，关系代词在从句中做主语，不能省。
