1. a → an
exciting前的不定冠词应该用an，因为exciting的第一个音素是元音/i/。

2. 去掉the
单独修饰形容词popular时，并不需要加定冠词the.

3. In和United States中间加入the
the United States意思是“美国”，在句子中使用时，其前面的the不能省略。

4. an → the
in the afternoon是固定短语，意思是“在下午”。
