《小红帽》又名《小红帽与大灰（野）狼》，是一则家喻户晓的欧洲童话，流传数世纪，在此过程中其情节也不断变化，在现代亦拥有许多改编作品。
故事在中华地区虽然翻译成《小红帽》，但故事名称中所指的衣物似乎比较接近有帽的红斗篷。此外，小红帽亦是对故事中女主人公的代称。
《小红帽》的故事从很早开始便已经有在欧洲的一些国家流传，有人认为其起源于11世纪时比利时的一首古老诗歌，而其来源或可上溯至公元前6世纪的《伊索寓言》，在后来之口头流传过程中，还可能受到了东方一些十分相似的故事的影响，如《虎姑婆》。
但在夏尔佩罗之前，《小红帽》未曾被写成书面文字。而另一种说法则认为故事起源于东亚，随后向西传播，并且在此过程中分成了两个分支，分别是《小红帽》和《狼和七只小山羊》。
