1.privilege是特权的意思，permission是许可，允许的意思。这里是说，只有宾馆的客人才能是用私人海滩。显然，我觉得特权在这里用得太过了些，它语义太重了，能使用海滩是一种许可和允许，还达不到特权的地步~

2.retreat是用于人的，不用于物，且它的意思是撤退，带有明显的主观色彩，而潮水是无知觉的物质，不会“撤退”。

3.这里用到get away的意思“脱身”，而get off常用于“到哪儿去”

4.这里也是词语的固定表达，说“缩水”，我们都常用shrink.
reduce是减小，减少的意思。decrease是消退，下降的意思，dwindle也是减小的意思。显然在这里能表达“缩水”意思的只有shrink
