in the beginning和at the beginning的区别

刚才我已经在知道里查看了有关的几个问题的回答，都说“at the beginning”一定要和of连用，其实不然，因为课本里有at the beginning单独使用的例子。我希望有人能给我详细的举例辨析一下in/at the beginning的区别
