take place与happen的区别!!

1). take place 表示“发生、举行、举办”,一般指非偶然性事件的“发生”,即这种事件的发生一定有某种原因或事先的安排,例如:

Great changes have taken place in our hometown during the past ten years.

The Olympic Games of 2008 will take place in Beijing.

(2) .happen作“发生、碰巧”解,一般用于偶然或突发性事件,例如:

What happened to you? (一般不说:What did you happen?)

Maybe something unexpected happened.

I happened to see him on my way home.

= It happened that I saw him on my way home.

注意:happen 与 take place 通常都没有被动语态。

happen常指具体事件的发生,特别指那些偶然的或未能预见的“发生”。
比如:
New things are happening all around us.我们身边总有新事发生。
Happen还可表示“碰巧;恰好”之意。
如:It happened that I had no money on me.我刚好没钱了。

take place通常指“(某事)按计划进行或按计划发生。”
比如:
Great changes have taken place in China since.中国发生了翻天覆地的变化。
此外take place还有“举行”之意.
如:
The meeting will take place next Friday.
会议将在下周五举行。

.take place是有一定的原因和事先的安排,happen是纯属偶然性的

比如说“这部电影的故事发生在……”:This film took place in…… 是指安排的“发生”
而happen指的是不经安排的,多指偶然发生的事件,如“发生什么事了”:What happened?很明显是偶然的“发生”
