如何用英语表示时间
在口语中或朗读英文时，经常有需要表达时间的情况出现。如何准确地用英语表达时间呢?总的来说，有两种表达方法。
一、直接表达法
直接读数字。如：
7:00 读作：seven或seven o”clock
8:00 读作：eight 或eight o”clock
表示整点，注意o'clock须用单数，可以省略。
9:15 读作：nine fifteen
10:30 读作：ten thirty
11:59 读作：eleven fifty - nine
从以上五例中可看出：时间可以直接用
基数词表示。
二、间接表达法
借助past和to来表示
1. 分钟小于或等于30的用past。past表示“超过”“过”的意思。具体的表达方式为“分钟 + past + 钟点”，如：
6:08 读作：eight past six
8:23 读作：twenty - three past eight
9:15 读作：a quarter past nine或fifteen past nine
11:30 读作：half past eleven或thirty past eleven
其中15分读作a quarter，30分钟读作half。
2. 分钟大于30的用to。to表示“差多少”的“差”，具体的表达方式为“(60分钟-原分钟数)+ to +(原钟点数+ 1)”如：
4:32 读作：twenty - eight to five
6:45 读作：a quarter to seven
11:58 读作：two to twelve
归纳以上借助past和to表达时间的方法，可以编如下的顺口溜记忆其规律：
30分以内，分在前，点在后，past在中间;
30分以外，分用60减，点要加上1，用to来连接。
若想表明是上午，可在时间后加上am或a.m.。如：thirteen past six a.m. (上午六点十三分)等。
若想表明是下午，可 在时间后加上pm或p.m.。如：four o'clock p.m. (下午四点)等。
另外英语中的noon 和 midnight 可分别直接表示白天和夜晚的12点
若表示的时间不够准确，可在时间前加上介词about大约、almost等。
It’s about two大约八点.
It's almost two马上到两点了。
It's not quite two. 还不到两点。
It's just after two. 刚过两点。
在时间前面应用介词at 来表示在的意思。如：at nine 在九点钟，at about five thirty-five p.m. 大约在下午五点三
十五分等。
