Thank you for sparing precious time from your tight schedule to read my letter. I am an average citizen yet hold deep concern about the severe smog and haze weather that becoming increasingly prevalent in the last three years. I am sure you have heard enough from your weather consultant about the cause of the deterioration: traffic fumes and industrial discharges. and you may want to excuse yourself as the growth of GDP is always a priority in comparison with environment protection. But I still want to appeal for your attention on this matter as public sentiment is on the brink of ourburst, indeed we have tolerated enough. Just a reminder that our former mayor did a great job to strike the balance between economic growth and pollution control. But after your inauguration, things started to get out of hand and you seems to have some special interest in fostering industrial development regardless its cost to the environment. I personally have no interest in whether you are receiving unlawful commission from the Union or private sponsors. But you are entrusted by your people to administer the city and what you did now is a dereliction of duty. We are watching you and remember it is a kind reminder not a threat, hope you have a nice day, Sir!
